Topic: Help with army list

OK heres the deal me and my friend's play all the time and I can beat 4/5 of them. 
But no matter what I do I can't seem to beat the last one.
He is a giant Ultramarine fan and has a pretty sizeable army, witch we cut down so i can have even a chance.
But even with his army cut down i can't seem to beat him.
So I play Black Legion and I love them(Chaos is to damn cool).

Like I said its not perfect so any help is greatly appreciated.

If you could tell us what everything's equipped with it'd be easier for us to help, like special weapons, what points you play vs. ie, 1000, 1500, 2000 etc.  It'd make it easy for us to help
