Ok the Tau codex says that drones count for 25% casualty test, for claiming objectives, and for victory point purposes...
It does not say they count for determining whether a unit is under 50% for purposes of regrouping. Is this implied, not the case, or left out by accident?
With all this is it worth taking drones to protect/support your suits? Do the benefits outweigh the drawbacks(and cost)?

I would assume they are counted. The point made by all the other rules is they are counted for everything, so why not count them for 50%?
As for cost effective... I don't know, I don't use them with controllers.

I would counter your point by saying if you intended it to be for everything, why list everything but that?
Just trying to look at it from different points of view. Does anyone know for sure?

It's not in the Tau faq i downloaded from gw...
And if its in the 1st page of the top thread I can't see it because for some reason the 1st page of certain threads freeze my browser :(

iirc = if i remember correctly but yeah basically drones do count for under 50% if its not on the FAQ i dont know where it was clarified.

As I said it's not in the clarifications I got from the gw website. Is there another Tau errata listed somewhere else or have they released a new one recently?
