War, war never changes (new novels)

So much WAR!

First we have Tin Men. The US is now the official world's peace keeper. Fuel cell powered remotely piloted soldiers are deployed across the globe whenever someone needs a smacking. The soldiers are piloted from a remote location in Europe. So, each shift, their pilots lock down in a cocoon and pick up their ride from an old crew. Think Terminators crewed from afar. Of course, not *everyone* is happy with the role the US has taken and stuff happens. Damn good fun!

Next we have Ghost Fleet. Closer to contemporary technology. China has been internally overthrown by the military and their own corporations with people who have a clue. Now they're a powerhouse that's growing. Pushing up against the Russians and the US for resources we have, you guessed it, war. Invasion of Hawaii, loss of GPS, drones everywhere, you know the stuff. Again, by my hairy nipples, damn good fun. Also includes endless references at the end of the novel where the authors show they're not making all of this amphetamine parrot up. Think Red Storm Rising gets an update.

If you can't make fun of something, it's probably not worth taking seriously.

You have to love the smell of science in the morning. It smells of learning.... or perhaps a gas leak.
