Topic: Krootox conversion options?

I have play tested some krootox in my recent games with the new Tau dex I am liking what I am seeing.  The ability to infiltrate rapid fire autocannons I have found to be very effective.

Which does lead me to one problem, I never have particularly liked the GW model of the krootox.  Also it is finecast, one of the older pewter molds (which I haven't had the best luck with for finecast) and also 25 a piece.  So conversion options are now in question.

I first thought of these guys.  I do like the models but they aren't guys ridding giant gorillas.

As far as GW models there are these guys or maybe some rat ogres converted to carry guns.

I was curious about other tau players think, or what you guys plan to do for using krootox.

I was thinking about this too actually and I thought having some Kroot ride some Lizardmen Saururs Cavalry would work well

Or just strap guns to the side of them like Dino D-Day



Yes that's a real game. I haven't played it but it looks awesome!
