Topic: What to do with some black templars?

Hey guys!

After having completed my Ultramarines battle company, I am coming into possession of a fairly large black templars force for free. Now I'm not sure if I want to field a black templar army as I wasn't a huge fan of their codex. So is there a chapter that would work with all the chains and robes and stuff on the Black Templar models?

Well you can always make them Standard codex marines with uber cool models

Go with a crusading BA army?

It maybe worth holding out for a few months as the BT's are rumored to be the next dex (or maybe the next after that).
Also the codex was much improved with the FAQ they got last year so it might be worth taking a look at that as it brought alot of their wargear into line with the current marine codex.

Hmm yeah, maybe going with Black Templars would be ok. It would mean that I could recite monty python references when I use the holy orb of antioch hehe. An the black templar dex is so nostalgic back to the fourth edition marine codex. Maybe I will give them a shot! Preferred enemy is nice anyway haha!

Actually with the new faq BT have the best termies bar none in the game.

Take a loolk at the faq and you'll see that though dated they are again quite competitive still

yeah, but I don't think I'm getting any termies with the army and I don't want to spend too much money. That being said a Marshal with retinue, fnp, furious charge and preferred enemy thanks to the Emp's Champ seems pretty cool.
