Topic: Help make my 500pt as cheap as possible

I need your help making this list as cheap to BUY as possible i am happy with the list. I dont need your comments on that unless you realy want to.  I ALREADY HAVE 2 SQUADS OF GUARDSMEN.

As i said i need to make the list as cost effective as possible so give me conversion ideas and other tricks 

I can't find my codex right now, but i will be using the free Doctorines like Close order drill.

Buy a Chimera
Buy a Cadian Infantry Boxed Set
Buy a Heavy Weapons Boxed Set - 5 different weapons - 3 of each. Build the Heavy Bolter normally, with the Commander from the Chimera - use some legs from the Infantry  - hey presto! An Officer.

Missile Launchers - make from Missile Launcher arms and Cadian Infantry bodies

Of the whole infantry you have bought - including the Commander parts in the Chimera and HW Box = 27 men.
In total you have used - if you follow my instructions exactly - you will have around 20 men left - 10 for a squad, and if you want, another infantry squad for your platoon.

Here are some conversion ideas and tricks.

Don't get the special weapons blisters.  Buy your special weapons as bits, and then convert them onto existing guardsmen.  You can also do this with Heavy Weapons, although some might require a bit of converting and patience.

Also, convert your own officers.  You can use the plastic guardsmen to represent your officers.  You can convert one into a standard bearer by using a paper clip or a piece of wire as the banner pole, affix some kind of standard onto it (paper painted with watered-down PVA works okay) and attach the pole to the base, like it was planted there.  If you're feeling ambitious you can convert the guardsman to actually hold the banner pole.

That's the best conversion tips I can give you for a cheap army.
