Cheers Serious,

here's a few wips to make up for my fickleness - so now you get to laugh at my efforts  :)

Ok, this is what I've done so far on what I should be painting:
Wraithlord and the Mr Blobby Scorpions  ;D

The lonesome rangers, destined to remain on the shelf unfinished (I know the camo is lousy and I was gonna redo it one day, honest!):

And my current interest, base coats only so far:
First wips in natural light:

and

Latest pics:

That's it so far a bit tardy but, that's just the kinda guy I am  ;)

Nice. I can see why you couldn't wait to do the wardancer.

I was on a roll and finished my raider tonight. I'll post pics maybe tomorrow.

OK, vows are now locked. Lets see how many completes we can get this month.

My latest wip pics for the wardancer lord (everything else has been cast aside until she's finished but I think I'll get them all done in time):

I still have all the details (vines, leaves, gems), hair, and weapons, highlights, tree and sprites to finish, I was surprised at the amount of detail on the model - first time painting flesh and faces too, its completely different to eldar armour  ;D

and

The pics dont really show the flesh tone differentiation very well, but there's a few layers there, honest!

Well, I ended up getting two seraphim after all, so I could have left it at 2. ::)

Anyways, I've assembled both seraphim and the hunter as well.  I'll hopefully prime them friday, and start painting them this weekend.

Nice WIP scribble, bit of a primary colour fest over on your painting desk but it's carried off well and I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on this model.

As people may have noticed I've completed half of my vow in the form of the Commissar found in this thread.

Cheers Fold, the paint is actually on a floor tile strip that I use for a pallete.

Even my wife's commented that its not painted like my other 'little men'  ;D

She likes the colour rather than all the dark blues and purple I normally do. I was trying to go for a brighter spring-type wood elf scheme rather than dark browns and greens.  :D

I'll try and get this one done asap - probably w'end

Nice work scribble. Superb mini and a nice fresh scheme.

I got the skin tone right (I think) on my sybarite, so I've started on the lord. I'm going to go with black armour to match up with the (future) incubi. WIPs later

Edit: My WIPs

I've only done the skin so far, and it's still a little rough. Need to try to smooth out the tone (being primarily marines, I'm not used to expanses of skin. Still can't do eyes.

Sweet work guys -

Serious: your armour's really popping on the vehicle - nice one!, I do like the skin on your lord too.

CheesyRobMan - the lining on the reapers looks very accurate and striking to me, if that's only 60% cant wait to see the other 40% !

that's because the pics are too small to see the brush marks.

On the skin or the vehicle armour? 'cause I can't tell and it looks good to me

If its the flesh you mean then I had bother with some of the flesh on mine too and just had to try and use more thinner and water with more coats as the paint had a tendancy to dry on the brush or on the mini before I'd finished the coat.

I'm still not happy with mine but the more I do, hopefully it should improve a bit.

I'm going to have to pull out unfortunately, I just don't have the time this month. Which is a pity since I've just discovered a kickass way to paint the green lacquered armour my Dark Elves wear.

Ok, sorry for the no show thus far.

This is my last week at this job and things have been a little crazy at the office (I can only handle so many people taking me out for lunch before i have to sleep when i get home, instead of paint).

Tonight however we are having out bi-weekly modelling and painting night, so tonight i will finish building and begin painting the other member of the unit. So update over the weekend

WHERE I AM NOW: a bolter marine complete aswell as a sarge and a plasma gunner (all finished, i have a librarian and three more marines modelled and ready for paint)

Wish me luck tonight.

And everything looks great so far!

Most likely lurking... Remember, i'm always watching!

The skin. it's a bit clumpy. The armour is looking quite good. 2 coats of scab, 1 of gore (attempted a little blending), blood highlights then red ink all over and black ink in the cracks.

Working on the archon's cloak/skirt thing and hair tonight.

My hunter light warjack is complete.  Painted, flocked and everything.  I'll hopefully get pictures of him tommorrow.

Just my seraph is left, and the colour scheme I'm using is much simpler so it will get done quicker.

ok so my list of done so far

magnets on all shinning spears and bikes done

17 warp spiders based and put away

4 shinning spears done

6 jet bikes 50% done

1 Phantom titan sitting there as I just got another bottle of kommando khaki and bleached bone last night!

one note actually the shinning spears arn't 100% done as I can't seem to find any Alaitoc decals anywhere! I paint up all my models in my eldar army in Alaitoc colors and decals on vehicles. But since I can't find them for my shinning spears means my bikes wont be done either! I don't have confidence to be able to paint the sword and moon symbol free hand, what to do what to do!

herm maybe I can order decal sheets from GW but I hate the idea of paying 7 dollar shipping just to spend 2 bucks on decal sheets!

9,000 pts Eldar - Alaitoc - 6,500 pts Blood Angels
8,000 pts Imperial Guard - 3,000 pts Tryanids
3,000 pts Sisters of Battle - 4,000 pts Orks
2,000 pts Chaos - 1 Massive Crack Addiction

I think for the purposes of the vow we can count them as 'done' without the decals. Add them to another vow when you get them if you like.

Me: Skirt and weapons done. Can't decide on the hair (greying black or wych purple?). Armour to highlight.

Vow complete!  \o/   I was going to put little rune decals on their helmets, but there's too much curvature and I couldn't get it to work without looking awful, so they're plain. My 3rd-ed Reapers don't have any decals on, so at least they sort of match.
