750pt Tourni Army

Well school holidays are almost upon us and with plenty of money in the bank I think its time to revise my tau army.
This is the army that I took to the last Conflict, that got beaten quite convincingly

Well with a Khornate Demon Prince charging me in the first turn of the first game(the boards are reali small, I didnt set up very well since it was one of my earlier games with tau. oh and he cheated (affected by blood rage and then charged with daemonic speed)) all my games went downhill from there, but did lend a learing curve
So rather than specialist equipment, I thought I might just got for a list that focuses on what tau are good at

So yeah what does everyone think? The basic plan is to systematically destroy anything that comes into reach. Drones will try and pin any units that come into reach and can be used for rushes or distraction *cough expendable* (its all for the greater good). Commander can join them if he needs the protection. I know the list is a bit static but Im not a firm believer in vehicles, and frankly with the amount of firepower these guys can put out? The last time I went the highest armour I faced was a whirlwind (though i did see a chaos dreadnough and hammerhead used on other tables) 

I'll probably be playing my mate most, who collects Crimson Fists (but unles I can convince him otherwise they will be 1000pt battles) and any games i can get in games workshop. Anyone from Wellington NZ who wants a game please message me

Drop the shield gen on the shas'el, ic rules are enough to protect him.

even squads are better, also drop the carbines on fws for rifles, id also only take one full drone unit if any.

Drop the photon nades.

Id drop a the above personally and throw in a kroot squad with the extra pts or anorther broadside, feels a bit static to me tbh due to the fact the fire warriors make more then half your pts..usualy a bad thing with tau, makes you play alot more concertivly and guard style.

Btw cant say I like broadsides too much, makes it very static and there still vulnerble to lascannons.

Please not this post is regarding the second army list, not the first (thats just for reference and to show the models I've got painted)
Drones are dead useful, and I need some mobile units to harass the enemy and claim objectives.
Why drop the photon nades? I think they are useful, but if you don't then why?
I have 12 Kroot from the army box, were u thinkin just a small squad like that or maxd out one
Also on the subject is it worth givin kroot the extra armour?

No Photon Grenades, and get 8 Drone squads instead of 6.
