He misunderstood his orders to "bring it down"
So, what your saying is it's not your fault you look stupid by using words you don't get?
Flawless logic.

I'm pretty sure the sergeant didn't say "beslubbering harpoon it, son!"

Not his fault. He's still a Conscript. Notice how he's not missing any limbs yet? That's how you can tell he isn't a fully fledged Guardsman.

He was recruited from an axtremely strong-armed culture which makes him an anti-vehicle troop no matter what you equip him with.

The Departmento Munitorum reminds you that lasguns *themselves* should not be considered expendable munitions.

If and when I start collect some flavor of guard, I'm pretty sure they're now going to be nautically themed. They have orders like, "First cannons, fire, second cannons, fire!", "Unfurl the sail!", and "beslubbering harpoon it, son!"

Not a day goes by in my professional life where "beslubbering harpoon it, son" is not only good advice but also the wisest course of action. Second only to "give me ramming speed".

Oh, I just noticed another aspect of the poor training. The grip.

He'll never get a spiral, throwing like that.

Well trying to throw the gun with the cartbridge behind the hand is pretty dumb in the first place as it's likely it's goig to either hit the back of the hand while thrown or inder the movement so much it wont be possible to throw it ^^

I'll have you know that I was promoted to Fodder, 2nd class. I was an expert "Poonist" as we were affectionately known. I was dishonorably discharged for surviving my first battle, and given a ceremonial high-five for it.

I know my chucking, and that man requires formal pistol-whipping to correct his poor form.

The first one is how Conscripts operate in the assault phase, seems proper technique to me.

Second one is just how Catachans roll.
