Nids 1250
« on: August 23, 2012, 09:09:51 AM »
Hi there heres my list please tell me what you think.

Hq
hive tyrant two twinlinked deathspitters leech essence, paroxysm 200

ELITE
[/u]
3 x hivegaurd 150
1 x venomthrope 55
3 x zoanthrope 180

troops

terivgon, tox sac, adrenal glands, cataylst 195
3x warriors deathspitters 105
20 hormagaunt 120
10 termagaunt 50
Heavy support
trygon 200

total 1255

everything but hive guard, zoan and trygon move together to keep protected by the rest of the army gaining cover saves from screening.
hive guard and zoamthrope anti tank purposes, deepstrike the trygon in turn 2 or just use him to screen and move with rest of army depending on what army i am up against.

im not sure whether to change the warriors out for an extra squad of hormagaunts or even replace them with genestealers any opinions please. however the synapse from the warriors does help control any instinctive problems

Seems nice but how about putting the Tervigon in the Troops section as you've bought the necessary gaunts. Also I would suggest letting some hormogaunts go and combine the rest, and then give the Warriors Deathspitters and maybe just maybe a venom cannon or barbed strangler.

Agreed with Reepy. I would remove the Trygon Prime as he is not as boss in 6th and make the 12 man squads into a 20 man squad.

This should leave enough points for the Swarmlord. Enough said ;)

I actually like the Trygon better. Don't know why. Though he doesn't need the prime part.

1250 seems solid now to go buy the elites. what are your opinions on warriors though?

You are miscalculating my friend. This list amounts to 1180pts. If I'm not mistaking your Tervigon costs 10pts more than he should. Your hormogaunts are 60pts over.

Further more the Warriors cannot take only one Deathspitter. Either all of them get it or none.

Also don't forget to choose two powers for the Tyrant. They're free.

Why do you need the Hive commander on the Tyrant? Without wings I think it would be better to kit him for shooting. Maybe two sets of twin-linked Devourers.
