Twin linked plasma guns
« on: January 29, 2015, 08:14:44 PM »
Just thought I'd share what I read in the rules for twin linked and "Gets hot". They only get hot if the re-roll is ALSO a 1. So if you miss (not a 1) and then re-roll they don't get hot if the re-roll is a 1. Only just noticed that. Had not been playing like that.
Just because you can, doesn't mean that you should.

Really?  I did not realize that!  Nice find, although I'll have to big out my BRB to confirm it myself.

The rules are very clear on this: the final result is what goes into effect.  If you re-roll a 1 it does not get hot unless the second result is also a 1.  If the second result is a 2 that model probably missed but doesn't get hot.

Peanut, I think the point he was going for is that if the original roll is a 2 and you reroll it to a 1, then it doesn't over heat because it is not "also" a one.
If there is anything that recent politics has taught us, it is that quotes taken out of context can mean what ever you want them to.
