Looks so cool! I can't wait to hear about what the game will be like.

Neato imperial dudes vs the Xenos race called the Slaugth.

"Slaugth science and technology is likewise nightmarish and powerful, seamlessly melding the organic and inorganic to achieve its ends in a blasphemous symbiosis of form and function. The Slaugth seem capable of manufacturing strange techno-organic construct creatures of a bewildering variety, carrying out their master's wishes as need be. "

Here's another link for those who don't have a Facebook account: Rogue Trader: First Look - YouTube.

The music is awful, so I suggest watching it with the volume muted.  The video doesn't really give very much away and I am personally none the wiser from viewing it, other than the fact that a skirmish game of some sort will be released later this year.  Given that such a move is hardly revolutionary, I'll await further developments before getting overly interested.

Those aren't chaos?  Colour me surprised!  :o

Now I can safely play Uptown Funk when deploying the Marines.  :D

Also, did anyone spot the dog mini?

In the grim darkness of 40k, there is the goodest boy :-)

The miniatures look fantastic, and I can't wait to get my hands on them to paint. I'm sure we'll get more information after Warhammer Fest this weekend.

Yeah, I was surprised too about the not chaos part. Apparently a community page post was published by accedent, which talked about this up coming game. So, I guess we'll see. I would love for some fleshing out of a minor xenos race.

Some speculation I've heard, is that it might have multiple ways to play, similar to Necromunda. There will be a board, or you can play on a traditional tabletop.

All these skirmish games...What about more support or expansion of Shadow War?

I think shadow war has been surplanted by Necromunda, as it was the game folks really wanted anyway, and both games played similarly. It is a fun game though.

I hope Rogue Trader has a different style of play than another skirmish game. I'd love if it were a 40k role playing game.

Silver Tower has been one of my favourite releases GW put it in the last few years, and I've played it mostly with non-warhammer players, so I like that aspect of it. I'd be stoked to see them go in that direction.

Either way, we'll probably find out tomorrow or Sunday when they announce it. I think they only released the video when they did, as someone leaked pictures of the game yesterday.

Both games can play similarly, but SW:A didn't require new models. That's what keeps the appeal for me.

Loving the music! I'm generally enjoying the music and voiceovers they're doing for videos recently.

All these skirmish games...What about more support or expansion of Shadow War?

Shadow War was intended as a 1-off filler before 8th 40K, no plan for support. It was a surprise that it was so popular- hence the rush to print rulebooks for sale separately after Shadow War sold out in a weekend.

Both games can play similarly, but SW:A didn't require new models. That's what keeps the appeal for me.

And that's a good reason for GW to not do anything further with it..!
