If you want 3*Beast Fast Attack section, the models will sum up to about 500 Bucks. I don't know if GW realized this. Even a single unit will be around 150+ Bucks. That's a joke. Pewter Gretchins would make for a better $/Pts. value here.

As far as i can tell, we are going to see a lot of non-GW Beast Units.

Lovely modes.

Succubi looks great but suffers a lot from a very busy paintjob.
Beastmaster and beasts also very nicely done. I absolutely adore the Khymera models. Will definitely get me some of those despite my irrational hatred for metal minis. Will mix them in with convertions and sculpts of my own.

The price is a bit steep though... I have to agree there.

Cheers, D.

There's also no details on the variety we can expect for Beastmasters. Will it be several models or a single one with interchangeable parts?

Judging from the leaked picture a short while back of them, it appears there is very little if any variation. The picture showed 2 beastmasters that looked exactly the same. Could have been a copy/paste job though I guess.

I really like the Succubus and will be definately be getting one to use in non-competitive games every now and then. Much prefer it to Lelith's model. :)

Fantastic models at fantastic prices

I might get a couple of the Kymerae for love but everything else will be converted or bought from another manufacturer.

If they wanted to pitch them at these prices they should have increased their points and effectiveness. Thats what they ormally do.

I'll have to do a re-think on my Beastmaster packs or I might use WotR Wargs that actually use the same 40mm round bases. I will buy the Beastmasters eventually, they remind me of something from a scary Guillermo del Toro movie so very DE!

The only models I like in that selection are the Khymerae. Clawed Fiend looks blurgh, Razorwings are boring, Beastmaster looks absolutely terrible and I could make a plastic version of that Succubus just from swapping a Raider passenger's arm onto a Wych.

Totally uninspired by what's on offer.

Really loved the Succubuss model.

Beast are way to expensive to be used, still, razorwings could be used two per base so you could actually get 2 models for the price of one. :P Looking the bright side of ugly situations...

Lovely models, the legs of the Succi could have been more dynamic, like the old Lelith model.

Only ones I don't like is the Razorwing........

And as for pricing, normal prices for single model blisters, and they will 99.99% certain not drop in price after advance order.

PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I'm doing at least, they even come with the same bases already, maybe I'll ask my Tyranid friend for some spare bits to add the extra claws to their backs. Unless there's some super new price after being advanced orders (unlikely).

Pretty sure they were riding on the wave of people buying lots of DE. It also appears they made that wave hit a giant brick wall already.

I personally am not a fan of how the beastmaster, khymera, clawed fiend  look; but I do like the razorwing flocks (although I will never get them, was planning on using leaping rippers anyway) and succubus (which has already been mentioned as needing to be a bit more dynamic).

All in all a lackluster overpriced model wave.

LOL, I also wouldn't be surprised if there is a steep increase in demand for the Wargs, hehehehe. I already know what mine will look like..........

I wasn't even considering using a beast master unit til I saw these. The prices aren't that big a deal to me, and I'm not exactly rolling in it. A big fan of each model in this release.

I sincerely hope the sales flop for these. If people get too enamoured with the looks and buy the models, they'll be encouraging more cuthroat pricing. When will GW realise the way to combat losses is to reduce the barrier to entry into the hobby i.e. lower prices, not try and recoup losses by gouging the amphetamine parrot out of their existing customer base until they all quit or god forbid, play warmachine :/

Chaos Warhounds
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440109a&prodId=prod1570038

Cheaper than Wargs & comes with 10 of them.  Khymera are from the Warp anyway, so Chaos Warhounds really are the same thing.  Just get the right bases.

And I agree, buy 3 Razorwing flocks & base them 3 each to get 4 total bases.

As far as Beast masters go, just get Hellions.  I am pretty sure the new Metal BM is supposed to be the unit upgrade anyway.

So if we take the typical BM unit as 3 BMs, 5 khymera & 4 razorwings and buy all the new plastics it will cost...$164+

If you buy a box of Hellions, Warhounds and 2 metal Razorwings, you can get a unit of 4-5 BM, 10 khymera & 4 razorwings for...$75.

Galef, the Chaos Warhounds are more expensive than the Wargs.  Maybe not on a per model basis, but if someone wants to make a squad with 5 Khymeras, buying a 6 pack of wargs for $16.50 is the more economical way to go.  Especially considering that they already come on the right size bases (you'd have to rebase the warhounds to make them tourney legal.)
Just playing along,
Bourhgen

Disappointing. I wanted Scourges. :( Liked their concept art in the codex. Very cool.
