Title: Eldar scenery?
Post by: magenb on July 21, 2011, 01:37:30 AM
There seems to be a number of alternatives to the standard human style buildings, even battlefield in a box makes some nice gothic ruins, but does anyone sell gear that can be used for amore Eldarish feel?

I've yet to find any decent Eldar-esque terrain sold retail. I've had some fun making Eldar terrain though (out of foamcore and foam board). Check the Terrain tutorial link in my sig line and scroll down and you can see some examples of Eldar terrain I've made (small and not the best ever made, but I enjoyed making them).

You know that Battlefield in a Box has a range of Elven terrain, which would work quite well as Eldar terrain for 40K.

You forgot to mention pricey Oink. It is nice though.

I think everyone else is right though, you really want Eldar terrain you might as well make it yourself. Making webways and pylons from foamcore isn't that tough, and the Planetstrike rulebook has an example of an Eldar bastion made out of a 2 liter soda bottle, some wood accents (purchased at most major wood supply or hardware stores) and random Eldar vehicle bits.

Eldar terrain usually involves keeping an eye out for good bits at all times. I have an Exodite World Board, and all of my Eldar buildings are basically recycled bottles and junk. Here's a link to the thread if anybody's interested:
