Topic: Preparing my orks for a tournament this fall.

I will play in a 1850 pts RT tournament this fall and will hopefully have finished painting my orks by then. I will field the following (very summarized version):

warboss, 2 squads of 20-24 slugga boyz with nob+powerklaw, burna boyz with mekboy+KFF, 2 squad of trukk boyz with nob+PK, 3 killa kan, battlewagon full of big shoota.

Now I was planning on 2 squads of 30 grots.

I could also do 3 squads of 20 grots, filling out all my troop slots (great for a tournament).

What do you think? Would it be good? More versatility in movement and deployment but also less resilience (20 grots can fall fast). Grots will be used to screen the slugga boyz. Also adding a squad of grots means 1 more slaver with a rokkit launcha.

do the 3 squads of 20, you can give the slaver a heavy weapon too to make sure they do some damage, big shootas/ rokkits work well and make them a threat to light-med armor

looks good though.  i like a squad of 10 flash gitz with maxed out big shootas in the wagon with 5 bolt ons and a zapp gun/tl rokkit option.

makes for a great  mobile fire platform hehe, 30 big shoota shots, and a Zapp gun every turn can rip things appart.  Now if yu max out the squad and give them the assualt 2, or the str 5 upgrade, the battle wagon gets VERY scarey but alot more pricey.


good composition though 6 troop choices is always nice
