EDIT - Please, don't use shorthand or nicknames for people. I don't know everyone on the site, nor do I know all of their nicknames ;).

The 40kOnline Forum Awards 2008.

See the above for the rules and specifics of the Forum Awards, and use the linked thread for general questions.

Make your nominations for the Dark Eldar Poster of the Year here in this thread or through PMing me (though clearly title it so I can easily tell what it's about). The only limit is that you can not nominate the previous winner, which was in this case was IncubiLord.

Only one nomination per person please.

  • Khira'lyth [3]
  • the kharandhil [3]
  • Khodexus [2]
  • Grumpy Kwi [2]
  • Locarno [2] (the fist non-k!)

I'd like to nominate Khira'lyth - not as proflific as some posters, but informed and useful.

I would like to second Khira'lyth's nomination. Funnily enough for the same reasons as Relentless.

I think a few people have misunderstood the 'one vote per person' rule (especially in the board-specific nomination threads), so I'd just like to make it clear:

You can nominate one person per category, however you can not nominate the person who won it the previous year and you can not nominate yourself.

The 'one nomination per person' pertains only to each category, so you can't nominate two people for the same award. You can nominate someone for every award out there if you so wish (obviously not the same person though, as no-one is that active, not even Rasmus :P). You can also second/third/etc. someone who has already been nominated, although how many times someone has been nominated only comes into account if we have more than 8 nominees, in which case the ones with the most nominations go through.

Hope that clears things up.

Well, you did write the longest DE guide, consistently guide people, and post ridiculous amounts in the fluff.

Just saying.
Whoa there.

I'd like to put my support for Khira'lyth.  Every time I see one of his posts when perusing the Dark Eldar boards I make sure to read them, they always feel pretty informative to me.

I think all of the above have been good nominations so far. Incidentally I'll be sticking with nominating the k's with Kwi, (or Grumpy Kwi as the case may be.) I've found his posts articulate and well thought out, and backed up with some good 5th edition tournament experience. I know I've incorporated at least a few changes in my 5th lists from his posts.

I nominate Kharandhil for the sheer randomness and hilarity of that statement.

The feeling is definitely mutual, I've only been on here a little over a year, but I seem to have done well this year (my first full year on the board).  I have a nomination, but I need to go double check the spelling on his name, so brb with that. *chuckles*

Ok my nomination is for Locarno (though I considered both Farceseer Siranaul, and Tauir - "The Billboard" (who's name keeps changing, lol) as well), for his amazing posts.  He's been a significant help and inspiration to me, and I imagine he's similarly aided many other people.  I think he really has a solid feel for the True Kin, in all aspects.

I'll throw a second behind Locarno.
Rejoice.  Despair.
Fate does not care.
Each knotted mind entwined.
Each soul another's bind.
And blind though we are led.
