It's a clever ploy to get you to buy two units worth of models, to make a single unit worth less than the common fire warrior they were made out of, so you need to buy more of them to fill out points and...

what the heck, they're a cool idea and there's some cool conversions. My favorites are the Kasrkin with shoulder pads and helmets.
