Sorry, but I'd rather not for the time being  :-\. Maybe in the future...

Also, the shadowseer certainly does not need anymore psychic powers. Veil of Tears is just so deadly!

I agree that, the Shadow Seer is very powerful as is.   If you make more powers, then make a list of powers to choose from...  max of 2 powers

I reckon Harlies should get at least a 6+ armour save in addition to their holo suits, I don't know about you, but my Harlies die quick smart in cc after they make their attacks, but don't kill their opponents. At least a 6+ would give a megre chance. Either that or allow their holo suits to work in cc.
Or is this just making them to hard to kill in cc??  ???

To be honest the list needs little work, except to sort something out with the Mimes.

Harlequins make a big mess in combat, but whoever is left standing exacts a bloody revenge. mind you, the enemy can only hit on 5+

Got a few IM/E-mails today from some people (who have ideas but did not want to share names)
1 was the harliquin feel.  He/She  stated that the codex does not have to be like the original. It just had to have the fluff of the Harlequin. Also stated that "it is OUR codex and that WE were the ones that HAD to test play it and COULD make any CHANGES that need to be done."
Another was that the harlequins right now ,in the experamentel version distanced it self from the eldars in general. That yes it does has the weapons FoF and the equipment but he/she felt that when he/she played them that it did not feel like he/she was playing eldar.
One more stated (and I agree with this one the most)that although they rocked in killing thing that they were very weak tatical and that the army was missing some very important factors.
Just though that I would share some feeling from others that want to remain in the shadows ;D
(PS I'm redoing the rules for the harlequin  :-*

i just wanted to say that i thought the different dances for unit leaders functioning similar to exarch powers was a cool idea.  although, would they be too much for troops slots?  maybe they could be reserved for the independents, or even just the great harlequin (the solitaire is nasty enough as is!).  just thinking out loud.  i'd love to see this codex when it's all put together, Kenaz!

codex: Harlequin (EO)
« Reply #49 on: February 13, 2002, 11:16:44 PM »
ready soon (yeah right try soonest).
I'm doing it in the traditional codex way so that is what is killing the time.
I also had to "twike" a few ideas so that they would all fit together (some of the ideas clashed against each other like milk and battery acid).
PS it is in window word 97 format and if it can get it in to  .pdf I will
 (I'm thinking like a Harlequin. Can't you tell ;D ;D ;D

just writin in bout sum stuff i think da harley should have , i think that when firing at them you should subtract 1 or 2 of your ballistic skill? and to give them a chance in cc maybe halve the attacker ws because of their holo suits and wierd dancy moves by the way i think the masque thing is a wicked idea 8)

I spent last night finishing my revision of the Harlequin List our group and a few others started after CJ 44.
The list is a revision of the web-released codex, along with changes made in CJ 39 and CJ 44. If you want a zipped copy, mail me and one will be on its way.
I´ll try to get it on a few newsgroups, EO and other places over the next week or so.
Also I am trying to get in touch with Kinrade (ed of CJ) to get them to issue some errata and other things, as well as the new list.

Lost Roads - finally released!

yes I am, but who wouldn't be.

The Mighty Brain is actually an old character from a magazine that was around over 10 years ago called Comodore Format

Perhaps a Laughing God Avatar? It works similar in operation as Chaos and their Greater Demons in that a random charactor is "possessed" and transformed into the Laughing God himself.

I envision the Laughing God avatar to be normal Eldar size, yet be lightning quick, jumps really far, and toy with his enemies in a fight. ....Kinda like Jacky Chan.

Oh yes....John Woo's Gunslinger type ability should be an attribute all Harliquin characters should have...well, maybe not the Shadowseer.

When wrong, to be made right.
When right, to be kept right.

I like the Oriental styles that Sandman and TheMightyPikachu talked about.  I specificly like the Laughing God Idea and the thought of specializing in a sword or martial arts.

That be cool if you had some generic Kung Fu or Ninja Action, but ofcourse tie it all back in to thhe theme.
