Put your hand up if you're really looking foreward to the big battle (Ents and all!) in the second movie!

I'm also looking forward to the massive final battle in Return of the King...I want to see those massive flying things the nazgul use...

Heehee...as someone who is so geeky that she has become fluent in Quenya and had the Tengwar script for "Elf" tattooed on her hip....

Course, it may not be much of a battle, considering how incredibly poor fighters the Orks [Orcs?] and the rest of the bad guys were.

..how do you learn quenya? I'm a Tolkien fanatic- but I never found that out...

I would actually like to learn it... hmph...

I also believe that a wraith rode a nazgul- a common mistake I believe, unless I'm wrong here... which I aren't am I?

A nazgul is a HUGE scary featherless bird isn't it? I wonder what they'll look like in the movie too...

to tell the truth though, I was a bit dissappointed by the Balrog... I didn't picture them being huge angry fiery Trollish things... More like a man I thought, and smaller, but more... dangerous looking....

Cheantoa--

This is the best site for beginning to learn Quenya.  It has tons of links and even a series of simple lesson plans.

www.uib.no/people/hnohf/

Please forgive me if that address got screwed up somehow; I have no idea how to insert such things into message boards...I'm so hopelessly computer illiterate.

There are lots of sources on the internet.  A book was published some years ago, but it was outdated soon afterwards by newly published Tolkien material.

Good luck, and I'm happy to help with any questions.

P.S. And I forgot to add--Nazgul is just another name for the Ringwraiths.  They rode Nazgul mounts at first, just those black horses.  After the horses were destroyed crossing the river on the way to Rivendell, however, they rode great scaly bird-beasty things.

Yea, Nazgul are just the wraiths.  I only really remember because I played a nazgul deck in the old CCG (NOT the stupid new one...)

Quenture: Just add the http:// part at the beginning of the address you want to link to, the board software will automatically create a link then.

Like: http://www.uib.no/People/hnohf/

;)

And I agree, it's a superb Quenya site. I already downloaded the course, but I haven't studied it yet.

The movie was much better than Harry Potter.
