Here's an update of what I have managed so far...

Vyper...

Some banshee progress...

And a close up of the of I've got the furthest on...

I'm kinda liking the banshees, the sash and hair are going to be orange, to tie in with the rest of the army.  Not sure on the rest of it mind, I'll just make it up as I go along...

Sorry no updates yet.  Been very lazy.  I promise I will do it tonight.

EDIT: Vows updated and locked.

No painting progress on my part, besides laying down the bone colors on my angelius on the second.  Probably going to fail this month.

Angelius is finished.  Going to snap some photos soon.

EDIT:Excuse the blurriness of the image.  I'll try and get a better photo soon.  I also want to increase the lighting, a tad too dark.

Also, a slightly converted skorne cyclops.  The pose is stupid, but it was this or it punch itself in the crotch.  Skorne models don't like being assembled.

Here's a shot of the completed vindicator:

Also, just for fun, I did a side-by-side shot of the old and new models. I like the new one a lot better. Much better paint job this time around too.

(Hey uh, sorry to interrupt. But I'm new here and just found this and thought it'd really help my slow painting issues. I've really only got this winter break between semesters to get my painting done. I was woundering if despite my lateness I could also join in. I've begun a number of my models so I could post what I have and then vow to finish the rest of what I want done this month?)

I know I'm a bit late but I'm going to join in on the fun.

I vow to paint the 5 remaining Tyranid Warriors that I currently have.

(1) Two Deathspitter + Scything Talons Warrior (w/ES,EC,TS)
(2) Venom Cannon + Scything Talons Warriors (w/ ES,EC)
(1) Barbed Strangler + Scything Talons Warrior (w/ES,EC,TS)
(1) Rending Claws + Scything Talons Warrior (w/AG,EC,FH,TS)

That will complete my 6 Tyranid Warriors that I currently have.

I will keep updates here.

Ug...

My black paint died, which is rather problematic when you pledge 10 Death Company marines.  Even more problematic when you asked for the citadel paint set for christmas, and therefore can't really justify going out and buying more.

Well, i've got 3 totally done, 2 mostly done (just weapons and highlighting to do), and 5 converted and ready for painting.  I think i'm going to have to accept my vow isn't getting done and will have to play catch-up next month.  Might manage to post pictures at some point.

I'll follow Ivellos's example and just jump right in.

I vow to paint by the end of the month:
Five more Dire Avengers
One Fire Prism
One Eldar Jetbike
Finish one Guardian and Finish one Avenger.
I do not need to kill you Mon-Keigh, you will kill yourself.

Alright, I thought I'd take a few pictures of what i have and what I am currently working on. Currently I'm calling my army the Khorshid, after a personal piece of fiction i hope to expand into a book (non 40k related). The color scheme was taken directly from that, Black and what i've taken to calling Burnt-Pink (though the color isn't exact as I imagine). I chose blue for the gems simply because i like blue, and the emerald was the exact color of blue I like most, and it looked good ;3 . The higher the 'rank' of each soldier, the more pink used. I like to try and modify all of them a little to create a little character.

Below (In links so as not to bog down everything) Is what I have finished already:

http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c17/crimtonic/?action=view&current=IMG_3598.jpg
It takes me four hours per complete model currently, though I’m getting faster.

These are my most finished and or most important projects, to my least. Some are links to my photobucket, others are pictures, i'd size them but thanks to my computer being broken and my using another (which doesn't have ANY picture editing softwear, save MSpaint, this'll have to do)

Dire Avenger, he's the second in command behind the Exarch, hence the exarch body plates, plenty of pink, and the extra war gear. The blue shoulder pad on the right indicates the Aspect the warrior belongs too, i intend to use primary aspect colors on one shoulder pad of all my Aspect Warriors, and then do the reverse with the Exarch who will have mostly Aspect colors and a single Khorshid colored shoulder pad. All I need to do to finish this is highlight the few black armor pieces I haven’t, and decide what color to do the chest straps. I was thinking maybe a silver? Thoughts?

My fire prism, in progress, but I got this idea of 'energy' flowing through the crevices on the model like water, and had to try it. I think it looks cool. I'm no good with Crystals so lets see what I can accomplish eh? This took about an hour.

http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c17/crimtonic/?action=view&current=IMG_3596.jpg
This is one of the pilots for the FP. Painted him last night in about two hours. Not sure what color to do the hair, and could use a few quick highlights. Ideas for the hair are welcome.

A few other projects I do when feeling to ADD to do the others.

http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c17/crimtonic/?action=view&current=IMG_3599.jpg
The jetbike, barely even started. He's a low ranker so only one stripe.

http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c17/crimtonic/?action=view&current=IMG_3602.jpg
Almost finished, low priority on this since it is done enough to use. I felt like the Star Cannon barrel was too short, so I pasted on a Scattercannon barrel too see what would happen, it didn't turn out horribly. Plus now I can switch it out for a Scattercannon before the game if i feel that'd be better for the army.

Comments and advice are appreciated as these are really the first anything, let alone models, that I’ve painted.

Ok. I finally finished my first Crone World squad. After working some on my brother's IG I took a break and took some time for my guys. Here they are. They aren't my best work but I have no patience and rushed a bit while painting (thus thick paint and sloppy highlights in some areas).

Let me explain the color choices. As Crone World, they worship Slaanesh. After all, Slannesh is the only chaos god that would have enough Eldar in its service to constitute an army. Because of this, the main color is purple to pink, depending on rank. I chose a blue to ice blue weapon color to represent a cold nature. In areas where there were power cables or under armor etc, I used a green to represent their perverse hidden nature.

The purple/pink bases are to represent their Crone World, which is made almost exclusively of spirit stone material. I wanted to put maybe white static grass or some eldar(ish) bits on the base but couldn't find any (maybe later). After some practice, I'm going to put some runes around the black ring of the base.

Anywho, enough talk. Here they are.

And some close ups.

Wow, love the bases there, Magical beans!  Very cool stuff all.  I've managed to get my platforms undercoated, which is a big enough step for me to start painting again when I get back from my parents in a few days.
