I don't think anyone would be watching Blood Bowl, it's a Fantasy game. But frequent mention is made of 'Scrumball' in the Ciaphas Cain novels, which we can assume is some form of rugby given the inclusion of 'scrum' in the name. It's implied that each planet in a sector has a team that competes in inter-planetary, and possibly inter-system games.

He was talking about the Sororitas Novitiates participating in the league at the Schola Progenium in that particular passage. I stongly doubt that the actual Adepta Sororitas maintains a scrumball team.
