Eldar army.
« on: July 28, 2008, 02:47:02 PM »
This army was originally conceived as an Army of Altansar. Since it was before New Eldar codex release colors have nothing to do with colors of Altansar as in new codex. After almost a year break I am  about to resume working on them again.

Currently in a various stages of preparations 1) FW Avatar (priority #1); 2) Maxed up fully upgraded squad of Harlequins  (priority #2); 3) a pair of prism tanks; 4) a Shadowveawer thatprobably will be pushed back almost indefinitely, arguably it is a coolest looking vehicle in 40k universe and rather useless from tactical point of view. 5) odds and ends - guardians need their  platforms, second squad of dire avengers needs to be finished. The image will be shrunk by the board so just right click on it

Two units of guardians. The front unit is composed from old, 1st edition, model. These are one of my first 40K models ever painted

Guardians on Jetbike. Painted about the same time as Guardians on foot. I am still using decals here....

Shining spears. Another old model. This squad is in dire need of proper exarch (also planned)

I like it a lot. And do you know what I like best?

That you didn't give up those old style guardians. I love the use of old minis along with the new ones. My IG army and my nids are like that.

Great army. I'll be watching this thread closely. :)
Taking a very long break.

I've only ever seen your showcase models, and I've wondered what standards you held yourself to when it came to your personal army.  These are really great!  The whole army looks like they're caught in a sunset.  Really superb color choices, and the models look amazing.  Please, post some close ups!

I really like that Striking Scorpions diorama.

Again, this is a really impressive and inspiring art work.  What a bonus that you can also play a game with it!  Thanks!
