Particle Whip question
« on: May 22, 2005, 05:33:45 AM »
Sorry if I seem like a rules lawyer, but if someone managed to 'crew stunned/shaken' my Monolith, can i still fire my Particle Whip,as it is not an actual weapon but rather comes from the speical ability of the Monolith, the Power Matrix?
Burn the Sister of Battle.
Kill the Space Marine.
Purge the Grey Knight.
Destroy the Imperium.
Let the Galaxy burn!

Yes you can. Se page 21 under Power Matrix.

"The Power Matrix cannot be disabled by a 'weapon destroyed' result and may be used even if the Monolith moves, or is Shaken or Stunned"

But how can a machine get Shaken/Stunned anyway? ???
And that's metaphorical!!! I know the answer already! I am a newbie to the forum but not gaming!

A question related to the Monolith:

Can the Monolith be shaken or stunned? The rule says that it is crew shaken and crew stunned but on the page with the Monolith rules, it says that the monolith doesn't have a crew.
Battle Records with Necrons:
Wins: 6
Ties: 0
Loses: 3
Unfinished games: 2

If you look at page 67, it says under Crew Shaken and Crew stunned what happens. The Crew part is just to call it something. Just like poison works against Necrons, because it's not JUST poison. When someone fights against Necrons and uses a special rule with poison, they might switch it with acid to gain the same effect. (Necron codex p. 13, Fighting the Necrons)

Just read the rules for what it is, not what you want it to be :)
