Question about The Lost and the Damned.
« on: March 30, 2008, 08:48:53 AM »
I saw this list and thought it looking amazingly awsome. But it left me with a question.

When 5th edition comes out, will this list be revived or shall we be seeing it in the Lost and the Damned fourm?

Jervis Johnson has stated that armies worth supporting will be supported in codex form with a full model range, not in White Dwarf lists or campaign lists for example.  So in it's current form, it's not likely that the list will hang around, whether or not it has the potential for a army proper is yet to be determined.

I see. Well that's to bad if it does turn out to not be transfered over. Looked like it would be a fun list to play and collect.

It was in fact one of the most popular armies at my gamestore, and in general due to the staggering variety of options. When Gamesworkshop retired the list, a LOT of gamers got mad, comparing it to the cancellation of Squats or something except different because of more popularity.

I don't really see much hope for it. Even I, an eternal optimist in most situations, converted my LATD into a functional IG army. However, with the rumors of codices for each legion (or maybe just certain ones, like the Blood Angels or Black Templars codices), there may be hope in a set of Alpha Legion rules.
