The Mark of nurgle look
« on: March 29, 2008, 07:09:26 PM »
Hello everybody.
I am not sure if this is the right place to stick this, but what the smell, it has to do with chaos.

I am going to get a tattoo, in a years time or so. And I want to really plan ahead. Get it right and all.
I will be getting a mark of nurgle on my back. And it will be awesome.
However, I have checked around, and I am not certain which way the damned thing is.
I have always made it like this:  0  0
                                             0

However, in the codex, it is always like this: 0
                                                          0  0

I think the first one is cooler, and would be a better choice for my back. But I don't want the wrong mark.

So, yeah, does it have to be like in the codex, or could I do it "my way" and still get it right?

Firstly, let me say that this sounds awesome! You must be very dedicated the Grandfather Nurgle

Now then, I thought that just the three marks in a circle were nurgle's mark, and it din't matter what orientation they were in, but maybe i'm just crazy...  ;)

It is the second one, to be correct.  Take a look at the Death Guard shoulder pads.  I believe each God has some kind of correlation between which direction their icons face in reference to the Chaos Icon.  But I might just be crazy.

Yes, technically it is the second one, but I have seen them done the other way around, it doesn't matter all that much, although it is much more recognisable as the Mark of Nurgle when its the second method.

Forget the tatoo, just brand yourself really badly and then rub trash and dirt into the wound so that it becomes infected!  Wait til it turns into cellulitis and then go to the doctor for antibx therapy.  That should leave a nice nurgle look for you!

I second GMBT's post... take one for the team !!!!!!!!

I've already have a skin condition around my eyes where the skin sheds a little too quickly... only worsened by my peeling of the skinn intentionally, resulting in a worse off situation...

Otherwise... dedication to Grandfather Nurgle is awesome...
I like the second one... but both are still great as long as it's for grandpa Nurgle.

My 7 Cents.
If you meet a bear named Sanctjud in the tavern, don't get into his van for candy.  I did once....it's sticky, salty, and really not very nice. :(
Raptor Jesus will get you Tangi... oh he will.

YEAH! That's perfect. Or, I could slice my skin open in the MoN and keep it open!

Anyways, after some photoshop fun, I realized that the right way does not look too bad. So, I will be going for that one.
Thanks everybody.
