one broadside in alt color scheme done.  Not my best pics ever.  I'll get a better shot when the team is done.  put same symbol on the shield drones (though it is completely washed out by my overhead light.)  :

I put in so much work this Labor Day weekend that I do not consider it a holiday to me anymore.  I mean...well pictures speak louder than words.

Wow, that's some wonderful work on those Exorcists, DJ. I particularly like the brass piping, and the green screens.

Damn fine work.

I vow 4 Warp Spiders and 1 Exarch. Till I get my reply for the due date, then I'll renew my vow.

Here's what's done of them, they might look done but their backs are well, smooth. And black. And needing paint.

It's usually your fault, not the fault of the greenstuff.  The sticking strength of greenstuff to plastic or metal isn't great, it's usually best to reinforce it with superglue, once the putty has cured, wherever possible.  For larger items (especially wings) I'd advise using a pinvice to insert a paperclip into the item you're building on to provide added support and rigidity, which will also make sculpting much easier.  It's much easier to sculpt the putty around the clip rather than insert the pin once sculpted, a) because of the rigidity and improved ease of sculpting and b) because it's a delicate task usuing a pin vice to drill into greenstuff.

So far with my Emperors Champion, all I need now is to do the sword, right pad motif, iron halo/rosarius, base and touch up the purity seal parchment a little, along with painting the holster and backpack and glueing them on.  The helmet also needs touching up because I tried the eye glow tutorial inthe stickied threads, didn't have a proper glazing agent and relied upon watering it down and to cut it short botched the job impressively.  I will however also be trying sourced lighting from the iron halo.  Overall the armour I'm very please with, considering it's the first serious painting I've done in years, though the laurel wreath is very shoffy and the loin cloth has some extreme contrast going on which makes it very much an arm-distance-pleasant model.

The outside of the cloak on the Inquisitor scale arbites is just about done in a brown leather look that took a lot of washes of scorched earth over snakebite leather, with some later highlighting.  So far I'm very pleased with it, though we'll have to wait and see how it all looks once the inside is painting purple.  Other than that the model remains mostly white, except for where it's been blocked in where I plan to try NMM gold.

The mordheim warband has been cut off it's sprue, slightly converted and mostly glued together and onto bases (with superglue so that I can break them off to greenstuff on some cobbles when I get round to it).  Other than that it's just the captain that I've undercoated and played around with a little.

Pictures to come when I can blag my dads camera.
I carry with me an Inquisitorial Seal. It is a small, unassuming object contained in a neat box of Pluvian obsidian. It is a modest thing. Relatively plain, adorned with a single motif and a simple motto. Yet with this little object I can sign the death warrant of an entire world and consign a billion souls to Oblivion.

@ DJ of E

The chaos black/grey parts are a bit to much when I look at it from the sides IMO. BUT I love the gold, can I have your recipe how you did it? I always use -bestial brown-shining gold - brown inkt to do it but yours look awsome.

Which one?  the organs or the extra armour?

The extra armor, it's - boltgun metal as base, 2 layers of shining gold, a wash of chestnut ink with 1/2 gloss varnish and 1/2 water applied heavily.   Then 1 light spray of teslor's dullcote to get ride of half the shine caused by the ink wash.

The organs is a bit tricky.  Boltgun metal as base, then 1thin layer of shining gold, 1 thin layer of brass gold, ink mix of chestnut ink and brown ink in a drybrush fashion (not wash), ink wash 1/2 black ink 1/2 water, very lightly drybrush mithril silver, ink wash again with 1/4 black 1/4 brown 1/2 water.  Then spray 1 light sprya of teslor's dullcote to get ride of the shine caused by the ink wash.
