We are looking for participants for the Dark Millenium 2 Project, so if you'd like to participate, please anounce you rinterest.
Background:Back when the game was still 2nd ed you had a set of core rules for the game. As players progressed, and people started looking for more detailed rules, they could get the Dark Millenium expansion set. This was a box that contained additional rules for the game, wargear cards, vehicle cards, psykic powers etc. It was great when it came out, it was a huge boost for those of us that wanted more from the game.
Concept:We here at the online community start creating additional rules, ideas, missions and fluff for an expansion set. We start compiling more advanced rules, more options with the intention of creating more detailed games. Expansive rules for psychik powers, new damage tables for vehicles, alternative rules for movement, Armour saves and so on. Perhaps bringing back some wargear cards, (but less powerful and less easy to abuse). Create rules for making your own "special characters", own special units, rules for creating and customizing your own race and so on.
Taking inspiration from 2nd ed and looking at how they created Dark Millenium, and how it changed the game. Taking inspiration from Fantasy and specialist games to see if some of the rules there can be integrated and used for the project. Looking at the special rules for the armies might help us do all this. We need expertise from all races, people who are highly familiar with all 40K rules. We need playtesters, number crunchers, people who can do statistics and points calculations, and people who can write short stories and fluff. Alot of the material is already within different special rules of the various races.
We want a streamlined, easy to understand, easy to use end product. The idea is to create the perfect supplement for WH40K. It won't be easy, it will take alot of time, but I think we can do it.
Feel like joining up?
Requirements:1. You need decent grammar and spelling skills. Your ideas are no better than your ability to explain them.
2. You need a firm grasp on the rules of the game.
3. You need to be willing to do research for your ideas, and be willing to playtest them.
4. You need to be open to other peoples ideas, we are not competing, we are a team.
5. If you have a history of previous
bad behaviour on the forum, you will have to have a good reason for wanting to join.
That's it for now I think.
