What a piece of junk!
« on: March 19, 2015, 07:11:31 PM »
I've been meaning to share this for a while guys.  Recently I decided to undertake a two year project to build a model of one of the greatest star ships in fiction; the Millennium Falcon!  It's a big kit that comes in monthly segments via a subscription, with an accompanying magazine series.

So far I've got 10 sections out of a hundred.  And when I say it's big I mean it's big; check out the 1:1 scale blueprint compared to my UK size 11 shoes:

After the decorating is done I can finally start building it.  Stay tuned!

Wait, a model released in installments?  ???

Throw us a link to the provider in case others wish to browse and/or order.

I should have been clearer yes.  My bad!

Here is the site in question.  They do other display models like sailing ships, cars and trains.

I looked long and hard at that, really wanted to give it a try as the finished pics of the Falcon are amazing. But it came down to that or a 3D printer...

Hope it turns out as good as it looms in the pictures for you.  :)

Latest update on this;

I've still not started the construction of the Falcon on account of redecorating rooms taking priority, but I'm still gathering the parts up.  The latest shipment came today, along with the Han Solo figure subscriptions to this get.  Now I thought that the figure would be tiny but it turns out:

It's a bit of a statue!  :P

 ;D

I thought the figure would be to scale with the Falcon, but now Han will be like, "WHAT IS THIS?  A STARSHIP FOR ANTS?!!"
