Hmm let's hope this looks clearer/better.

Whole squad. Almost done, I'm gonna have to work on the Exarch's powerblades and the gems at the back of their warp jump generators. Including the highlights for the brassy bits.

I vow to paint a Thornback Tyranid for my brother's "Wolfen" Renegade Brood.

I also vow to paint my Riath-Quan (Warlock)...provided I manage to get it.
Clarify what a Thornback Tyranid is.

Anyways, vows are updated.

So, as for my progress, I've done nothing.  I want to finish up Thagrosh and my Rune Priest this weekend though.  However, I did assemble two four Nyss Raptors and most of my Angelius.

So here are the pictures I said I would post up...I decided that I might paint the other Talos while I was at it...

The two runes mean "merciless" (on the red helmeted Talos) and the other means "eternal slavery."

That means I'm only left with the 10 warriors.  With any luck I might get them finished before the 21st.

DJ-of-E, you always have really cool stuff posted, I look forward to seeing your stuff with these challenges.

You're math is off, ironcultist.  You're 95.78% done.

Anyways, I finished Thagrosh and my Rune Priest.  That's not really saying much considering that they both about 90-95% done at the end of last month.

Emperors Champion is finished.  I wimped out of doing a glow effect in the end.  No pictures for the time being, he's sitting in the cab at the local GW as part of a colour scheme competition until (I think) the 29th (they have an Apocalypse competition ... the person with the best suggested Space Marine colour scheme will see the contents of the Space Marine Company box set painted in that scheme for the store army).

Mordheimers are coming along nicely - the two tone cream and red is done which makes up the majority of the models.  Next is the skin, then leathers, then weapons, then basing, then done.
I carry with me an Inquisitorial Seal. It is a small, unassuming object contained in a neat box of Pluvian obsidian. It is a modest thing. Relatively plain, adorned with a single motif and a simple motto. Yet with this little object I can sign the death warrant of an entire world and consign a billion souls to Oblivion.

They aren't taken properly so its hard to comment. I like the deamon wings but the marines are either to far away or not sharp enough to judge. Sorry about that cultist. I would recommend adjusting your camera and putting some white paper behind the miniatures.

I agree on the white paper behind & under miniatures to decrease and sharpen the contrast.  btw, what camera do you have, maybe somebody will help you with the adjustments.

Here's my current WIP.  I finally finished the inking and highlighting and the signage.  Now I need to do the arms and backpack.

BTW, if you think the metals are too sharp in contrast of color's, it's due to the fact that it's heavily glossed at the moment.  I usually have my completed figures glossed in preparation to be coated with Teslor's Dullcote to get ride of the shining.

One Genestealer, two Gaunts done, and the officer needs based.  Doesn't sound like much so far, but all I really need is two or three decent painting sessions to get each brood done fully, those were just test minis.

No idea how to base the 'nids though.

Ok - I'm completely new but after my introduction I was told that this was the tread to get my painting on track.

I'm currently painting Tau.

I hereby Vow to Paint my Battlesuit commander by the end of September (one whole mini in a month is a big deal for me).

Cheers

I am adding this to my vow which I am surely gonna regret.

I vow to paint 1000 pts of dark eldar. [cut me some slack as they need to be finished before the 7th.]

Still making the list for the tournament, but it will probably be around 40 models orso.
