Copywright question

Would it be alright to write a fiction story about IG based on Killzone's Helghast? i just want to know if its ok to use them so I dont get anybody in trouble.

As long as you don't call them Helghast, say they're from Helghan, or actually have them attacking Vekta, you should be fine. Basing your writing off something is a fairly integral part of fan fiction. I mean, we're all basing our writing off Games Workshop materiel anyway, so as long as we don't publish it, or try to make money off it, they can't touch us.

That's great thanks. So i have to think of a different name for them, but I can still describe the uniforms and weapons, right? Not by name, of course.

You can certainly have them carrying drum-fed autoguns, and wearing black fatigues and gas-masks. It's not like the makers of Killzone own those things.
