Painted, based and flocked.

Finished the Honor Guard squad for the Chappy. They will ride around in the raven with the painted dread on back. The small creature/familiar is just a token to show the unit has furious charge with the priest. When the priest dies, the token goes away. Similiar familiars will be used with other priests as well as if a unit has red thirst.

Front and back close up pictures of all the models can be seen here at the blog.

I like the stormraven with the lower profile, reducing all the junk on the roof helps a lot, thats probably what I'd do with one too. Did you do any other conversion work on it.

Besides the top, just added some GS skulls and some FW chaos brass numbers and star plates onto the engines and the canopy.

Thanks mate!!

I also havent stopped working on the army. Its up to 4500 points so be prepared for a new model each day until im caught up showing them all off and getting feedback on things to change, if any.

First up tomorrow is a Land Raider, heavily converted into a mobile shrine showing off the banners of the legion.

Ive also been working with a number of quality writers for some AMAZING fluff! Be ready is all I can say!

Nope, im not dead. Work has just been sucking the life out of me. I have a bit of time this morning to post some work on the newly named Heirs of Horus (tons of fluff to follow). First up, a land Raider for the Sternguard or Capt with honor guard.

Fantastic freehand painting. Great show.  :)

The front turret looks very neat.

What did you use? Is that part of a spoon?

I am really in love with your work. Especially that freehand.

I can't help but notice that the metallic green color (mix?) you are using for your army looks exactly like the first color mix I used for my Death Guard army (when I first started playing them 6 years ago).

Thanks! I took the idea from the old Epic Chaos Land Raiders.
