@Goyder: Yea I hate all the sponson weapons except the Plasma cannons & meltas. You should see the lascannon on my latest Russ, it looks so much cooler than those last edition casts.

@Carrakon: I love all your tanks, esp the exterminator, what did you use for its weapons?

@Pax: Very clean, very smooth, very nice. May I suggest you paint something a different color, Plasma cells for example, as they could use some variation.

@Terra's Guard: Is it green, is it brown? WAAAAAGH!!! Im so confused. Love it.

@PaxImperator: Did you use a fine nib pen on every nook and cranny for your tanks? Do you think it would work with a brown/green camo scheme too?

It's a far more tedious process I'm afraid. I first spray paint the entire model chaos black, then go over any missed areas with a brush with chaos black. I then spend a whole load of time painting the model codex grey, being careful not to get any paint in the nooks and crannies. Once that's done any mistakes or irregularly shaped borders between the black and grey are still very obvious. An edged highlight of ghostly grey strangely conceals any mistakes, I guess it just detracts the eye from the mistakes.

It's a very time consuming method but any monkey with diluted paint and more patience than common sense can easily do it. And therefore so can I.

I think it can work with any colour, just as long as you prime black and have primary colours that cover black well enough. Shouldn't be a problem with most browns and greens.

@Lieutenant Aurillien: I get that comment quite often. I'll probably apply some red and black markings exactly like those found on Sputnik's and Carrakon's tanks. But I'm more than willing to listen to any suggestions the lot of you might come up with.

Currently my tank collection stands at 24 standard tanks, 1 VDR tank based on the Challenger, and 2 Forge World Baneblades, with a further 4 under construction out of plasticard (Being an engineer I got to measure up the forge world ones so they should end up the same.....)

hey darth - i know someone making some plasticard baneblades - fancy dropping me a PM bout making some? if you got measurements - im sure i can play around with the hull and get a guide sorted?
