Na, I'm going to stick with the pure World Eater list (normal chaos with the Blood Slaughterer, which I never use as I don't like FW in normal 40k)

Looking forward to getting stuck into that... my Wolves is hungry for apparently fluffy Khorne armies  :P

Thems big words Thunderguts (Cpt_Lucifer), I seem to remember you couldn't deal with them last time, and didn't your wolves end up going to ground like the puppies they are?

Khorne armies = utter nonces. A real man plays a real chaos army.

Bring it the hell on!
However, everything about Tarrin is unfair and should be sanctioned with extreme prejudice.

The Globals have issued a 2:1 ruling that yes, yes everything about Tarrin is indeed unfair. We have also been sullied merely by contemplating this.

A real man has the mark of chaos tattooed on their back.  Thats loyalty to an army.

Hmmm all painted, or something more competitive and a great deal more undercoat.

Choices, choices, got to pack my army up tonight.

Go for the paint! Your army (judging by your blog) looks awesome sauce... it would be a shame not to get to show it off in all its glory. Besides, you have a few days to paint up a couple more things if you need a few more competitive swaps!  ;)

Gentlemen - very much looking forward to welcoming all you fine peeps to the sleepy backwaters that are Westbury!

Just wondering, as we seem to have 27 on the Roster, if you need Triple Helix to relinquish our slot to make the numbers even? Or is there a plan to hog-tie and kidnap a 28th Roster member and spirit them away from their unsuspecting family this weekend (to be returned safely, if a little sorer, on Monday).

I (and Tom, our chosen champion) await in eager anticipation of your collective replies!

Steve, THW

Don't be silly! Surely the correct solution would be to get another Triple Helix Wargamer to take part!!!

At the very worst, we can all hound Dan to make sure he gets there early and takes part!

Well maybe my arm is twisted, I can compromise a bit I think by rushing a Chimera that I'm working on through (my painting is normally measured in the scale of geologic time) and fielding one I painted donkeys years ago, so at least its painted lol

speak for yourself... I think I'll have just about enough time to paint a cross on a base! X marks the spot!!!

As for you Gravis... I'll say that your blog has loads of cool stuff (the rest of you should really check it out!), and your custom rough riders seem like they were painted in short order!

To be fair, I'd go with whatever makes you more comfortable! its always nice playing with fully painted armies, but it might not be so much fun if those fully painted models include nothing of any use! Still, I'd wager that your painted army is competitive enough... and you wouldn't want to water down the theme of your great praetorians on something as unimportant as winning! hehe!

The list you had at vanquish was pretty competitive. Remember its not about winning, its about placing higher than Hymirl and the mocking that will ensue.

Painting Bonus Point Question
« Reply #278 on: August 18, 2011, 09:17:01 AM »
Hi,

I just had a quick painting question.  I've got painted and flocked skimmer bases, however I've never flocked my jetbikes bases as I think they look better on clear bases (and even GW leaves the jetbike bases clear).

Will I still get the bonus points for a fully painted army ?

On another point my painting is going so well (only 3 beastmasters and an extra jetbike to finish) that I've decided to try and get a game at my local club tonight.

You never know I may have played one game with the list before the weekend, an opportunity to try out three new units.  I've only played with one of these new units before and that around the time that the original codex came out :(

How's everyone else getting on with painting ?

Rathstar

Painting has been pretty non-existent. I'll have one squad finished in time maybe- everything else will be sanded and sprayed...
I do have lots of objective markers though!
