Data-slates is perfect.  And yes, under AoS rules they're so easy to resolve.  I've come to hate templates so much.  :P

Agreed.  I prefer AoSs living rule book system.

I could do with less ambiguity in the rules too. 

One thing I'd keep is the is the current system for casting physic powers.  Just roll a dice for each warp charge needed.  On a 4+ it's harnessed.  Double 6s are still perils of the warp.  Powers can be simplified, like AoS's arcane bolt and mystic shield.
