4 player team tournament possible contributions.
« on: June 2, 2007, 12:33:21 AM »
Ok, so a bunch of buddies and i are commited to going to adepticon 2008.  Entering the team tournament...4 marines players will play with one of the 4 for 3 games.

we're going with 4 original legions.  Raven Guard, Blood angels, space wolves, and Dark Angels (ME).

Now, I had considered a battle force like army, but it really didnt appeal to me so i wrote up a list for deathwing and ravenwing.  both are 1000pts.

Quote from: Ravenwing
Master on speeder.  205pts

attack squad:  6 bikes, 2 flamers, speeder (possible to move to fast but not likely.)  320pts

attack squad:  6 bikes, 2 flamers.  230pts

attack squad:  3 bikes, 1 plasma gun  135pts.

Support squad:  AC / MM.  100pts

Quote from: Deathwing
Belial w/ 2 claws.  130pts

Deathwing:  Assault Cannon, 1 thunder hammer / storm shield.  245pts

Deathwing:  Assault Cannon, 1 thunder hammer / storm shield.  245pts

Deathwing:  Assault Cannon, 1 thunder hammer / storm shield.  245pts

Ravenwing Attack:  3 bikes, 1 plasma gun.  135pts.

comments?  both are 1000pts on the dot.
If there is anything that recent politics has taught us, it is that quotes taken out of context can mean what ever you want them to.

While the first list gives you more scoring units, the second is tougher.
I'd go for the 2nd list as (1) Bikers die too easily (like normal Marines), (2) deep striking units let the enemy guess, and (3) deep striking later in the game give the enemy less chances to take the deep strikers down.

that is why i am considering the deathwing.

as you said, the ravenwing list has more scoring units, and has less models than the deathwing who are more resiliant.
