All of those Banshees and their Phoenix Lord are looking great, Mage! I also love how you did the gold and red, it looks really regal. The only thing that I think could make them stand out more is painting the grilles on their helmet another color and picking out the eyes.

Otherwise, great work!

Looking smooth there Mage, very fine highlighting. Are  you drybrushing or layering? The blend looks too seamless to be drybrushing!

Those Banshees look helluva cool Mage! They are brilliant models and your work on them really brings out the character.

Really nice posing on the wraith units as well. Top drawer.

Those look amazing! The use of gold really sets them off, good call. At first I thought the manes were to red but on closed inspection, they're perfect the way they are.

Btw, Drazhar likes his harem,  ;)

Oooohhh...the addition of the gold really helps those Banshees pop. Very nice addition that takes the models to the next level. Great work Mage!

well more teasers for Drazhar ;)

more basing done, still the odd bit here and there, but should hit the display shelf soon.

well I had planned on a big milestone reveal this month, but I've been on back order for 3 weeks now, with no eta even on getting an eta, soo think we'll see 9th ed first lol.

So with no reinforcements in sight, the crusade against the grey moves closer than ever to victory :)

I love the wraith box sets, ah so many arms and so little money. I know what you mean about the middle one. I have my favorite one crossing the swords in front of him. It's like "BRING IT B****!" I really want more but I have like 30, 10 metal and the rest plastic.

Can't wait to see what's in the Easter egg when you Crack it. :o

I've done a little more work around the place

So trying to build a fountain and have the column be the part that connects the flier to the base.

still needs something ele.. not sure what yet.

Made a good dent in my backlog so far, even managed to get some paint on some of the Conquest Space Marines. Hopefully I can get those done before Indomitus drops, and my backlog blows out again lol. Lots of very nice looking models in that kits, hopefully GW doesn't go nuts on the Aussie price.

Excellent work, Mage! That's absolutely stunning, the basing and the models!

As for the fountain, maybe it just needs some water effects poured into it to make it seem half full?

Had to put this project aside for a bit while I get some other stuff game ready.

Wraithknights assemble!

Yep, water effects still to go in, a statue will also be on the fountain, but just waiting for things to dry.

That's an intimidating group of Wraith Knights! What's the collective noun for Wraith Knights? A Haunting?

I really like your custom bases too. They really add a lot of character to all the models and the force as a whole.

Great work man, keep plugging away!

Got a bit side tracked with a game of frostgrave, but did have some time to finish off another conquest bit.

and slowly build up the water effects on the fountain, turned out cloudy though

That Plagueburst Crawler looks sick Mage! All of the Death Guard range are fun to paint, but it's cool to see such a nice finish on such a big, centrepiece type model.

As for the fountain? I think cloudy water actually suits the theme and atmospherics of the model. It looks like it's been lifted out of The Witcher or something. Great work man.

So I haven't been pumping out alot of hobby work lately. While 9th ed is a big improvement over 8th ed, but it just not quiet the 40k gaming style that my group loves playing, seems to be a common theme around us grey haired folk lol. However given the crusade system looks great and sounds like GW is going to support it, and the primary and secondary objects looks like a really interesting mechanic, it too hard to pass up. So I've been working on some house rules to bring back some of the old flavor. Going to take the group through the initial rules tomorrow and see how more armies play out, if it works, we'll move into larger scale matches.

Here's a shot at the mini table to test some of the terrain rules. need to hunt down some more terrain. Any one use the rampart terrain system from Archon studio?

Even though I built it up the layers at about 2mm at a time as per the instructions, this water effects has gotten worse and shrunk creating a serious u curve.
