Test Game - IG with New Trial Vehicle Rules

Finally got to try out the new vehicle rules with my IG last weekend. 1700pts, my troops attacking in a Bunker Assault vs Iron Warriors. The bunker was on my right flank, and I concentrated a Leman Russ, Demolisher, Hellhound and my armored fist there, along with 3 of my 4 platoons. The fourth platoon held my left flank, supported by a Leman Russ to stop or slow down any enemy flanking attempt. The new rules work great! I was basically advancing steadily with close support from the Demolisher. The commander was very pleased with his new gyro-stabilizer as the tank moved at a steady pace while firing its huge cannon. The Leman Russ on that flank got its battle cannon blown off quite early, but still offered excellent close support, moving and firing its 3 heavy bolters. The game ended in a draw, but all in all was really cool. The Guard can now effectively advance with heavy support.

Yes! You too like these new Tank rules. They are  godsend, now the guard can go for an objective and not worry about wiether their support will be ablle to help them out.

These new rules also make the Exterminator A GODSEND.

Move 6" and fire 13 shots?
YES PLEASE!

I just downloaded them, and can't wait to try them out. If only I can convince my opponent to give them a shot as well. I think it will definately make the IG a more viable force. I thought the new Assault rules helped us out some, as those pesky rhino rush armies weren't bouncing from squad to squad in hand to hand. Of course, back then I used the picket line defense and would set up some weak meat shield squads just for this, and blast away as they sweeping advanced towards the next squad.
