Recently an opponent tried to convince me that all High Elves ALWAYS strike first in close combat, regardless of initiative or weapon, also that a level 2 mage can use all 6 spells in a given lore in one battle, can pick which lore, and it can be any lore. Also everything has a bow, and the prince's bow shoots 3 shots at Str 5.

Is this true? 'Cos it just seems ridiculous to me, and the opponent was using a photo-copied Army Book, and conveniently forgot certain pages.

1. Yes. All High Elves have the Always Strikes First Rule.

2. Yes. I do believe High Elves have access to their own lore in their army book and All lores in the main rulebook, but not other army's specific lores. They also have a magic item that lets them choose spells rather then rolling randomly for them, but I see nothing that gives them the Loremaster ability.

3. No. Not everything has a bow.

4. The 3 shot at Str 5 bow is a magic weapon.
