Ideas for a new player
« on: March 26, 2007, 04:00:05 PM »
I've got a friend whom I am helping to start 40k.  The problem is: We're running out of missions to play, due to his limited model selection.  He has the old starter set, the one that contains 10 space marines, 20 dark eldar, and a speeder.  I've got a fairly large (2500+) Imperial guard army.  We've run through kill team several times (with the guardsmen always serving surprisingly well as brutes) and ~200 point combat patrol a couple of times.

The problem is that we're starting to run out of ideas as to what to do. You can only play kill team with the same force so many times.  Any suggestions for fun but low point games that we might be able to try?

If you have a 2,500-point Imperial Guard army, then methinks you have two 1,000-point ones.. :) That opens up basically every mission in the rulebook, which should keep you occupied for the foreseeable future.
