Fun fact: acer macrophyllum is the fancy name for the Bigleaf Maple. As far as I know, it's the largest variety of maple that grows in Canada, making it a Great Big Tree. Knowledge is power!

He and his section turned and marched off into the fading evening for another damn night pulling sentry duty.

Guardsman, Major Harrison had requested that everyone report by the end of the month.  I assume once the Corps reports in then our orders will be given to us, as they won't want us sitting around.

All officer ranks I'm afraid. NCO ranks are also out of bounds unless specifically rewarded to someone. The only volunteer rank is guardsman.
