Necromunda, Gorkamorka, Mordenheim
« on: February 20, 2002, 03:38:15 PM »
Anyone play these games?

I really like game like these where you get skills and upgrades to your squad so I'm kind of surprised they are not more popular.  The scenary that GW has done for Necromunda and Mordenheim was also really cool as well.

I remember a game of Necromunda I was playing when my gang was ambushed and I was fighting the enemy on all sides from above.  Turn by turn more gang members fell to the gunfire and in the end most of my gang was wounded in some way.  Despite the fact that my gang was severely mauled it was one of the best gaming moments I've ever had.  It was such a cool situation.

I'd love to own necromunda. But when I started to playing 40k it was to late - it was gorne  :'( so I have to play with homegrown rules based around 2nd ed 40k and the weapons list form armybuilder

We play Mordheim every once in a while.  I have a fairly decent Undead warband that I'm happy with.  One of their goals is to take out this Middenheimer named Michael.  He carries two pistols and ALWAYS ends up getting "crazed" when I wound him (making my frightening army useless) and he always seems to be more trouble than any other model.  I keep waiting for an excuse to make a Michael zombie...if I could just catch the fool...

I am going to start playing Necromunda even though I don't know anyone who plays it! (anyone here play Necromunda in Vancouver?) I have always wanted to ever since I started 40K years back.

I have never heard anyone talk about Gorkamorka. Is it similar to necromunda but in in an ork setting?
