infact your minis look all around aweosme!!

so the idea is these guys are a sniper squad 10 man 2 darklance 2 blaster slowly turning to Chaos.

Raider squad inspired by this thread :D

Warrior with skull

Reaver squad

Dracon on Jetbike

Archon and Incubi

Thanks to this thread for giving me the will power to struggle through and get this army to this size. In NZ I have only found 2 others players with DE.

Wow!  I'm getting fired-up again!  Gigantorjosh - the conversion-mania is terrific and original.  I love your lances, and posing.  Grave - serious painting!  Kharandils' beast of a painted collection is it"s only rival I've seen lately painted to such a consistently high standard.  I looked through all your models checking out the poses.  Classic colors and all so smooth!  Muppet - I'm dragging along slowly, but I'm trying to get to your size army.  Those black warriors look like an elite strikeforce next to the red warriors.  Wicked black raider, and intimidating dracon on reaver!  Thanks all for sharing...
Some of my new Cobra lance squad -

My trick is to throw a TV tray up, so when my wife is watching her shows, I can get some painting done little by little...  Everyone knows they fight better when they're painted better!  The new scheme is browns and greens.  I know my photos are pretty lame, especially with those zany backgrounds.

G barrel, those snake warriors blow my MIND!
can't wait to see what you'll do with a Talos...
How long does it take you to paint a warrior like that? I've been painting my army for about six months now, which seems quite a long time considering they are in classic red and black to table top quality

PS: your zany backgrounds are cool...better than kitchen bench for sure :D

Muppet - Because I paint in front of the TV, it 's hard to gauge the time put in.  I estimate between 6 and 12 hours per mini.  You have a very 'clean' look.  that doesn't come easy for me and I'm constantly re-painting over 'botched' areas and trying to stay 'in the lines'!  I got a Talos from a guy as a trade for a commission and am looking forward to working on it because it's so broken and beat to heck, that it will need some conversion work...IMG]http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu122/gbarrelhouse_photos/cobralance2.jpg[/IMG]

that's great news that you've got a Talos, and in need of converting...it might just be your lucky day!
I look forward to seeing pics of that.
6 to 12 hours per mini is pretty decent (i am guessing that does not include converting time)

Well I have just undercoated my Talos and the box gives me no inspiration for a paint job. I think i'll paint it black with regal blue highlights...and a decent amount of blood.

One of the tougher old dark eldar minis to make look good!  After many trials and conversion ideas - my first shot at a Dracon!  If you know the mini  - yes I gave her a haircut and had to re-sculpt  that side of her head...

I'll add my praise to gbarrelhouse's minis; some of the most orginal and well-painted minis I've seen anywhere.  :) You should definitely enter them in competitions, not only for personal reward, but to raise the profile of DE in general.

Here are a few of mine, painted over 5 years ago, but I'm slowly getting back into the hobby and am currently thinking about a Haemonculus or two on jetbikes.

I'm having trouble getting clear photos with my Canon Ixus 100 (any suggestions?), but you get the idea:

Archon and retinue:

Drazhar:

Master Incubus:

Decapitator (first proper conversion attempt):

Wyches:

Scourge Sybarite:

Alright! 1850 point army all painted (at long last) and I thought I'd share a few pic's

Painting the Talos begins...

and the finished result

and I thought I'd add these since there are not many pic's of 'em (please excuse the slight focus probs on next few pic's)

Warrior with Darklance

and stock standard Drazhar

I think slightly modified guardians make great Raider squads.
So now I have two squads like this, one with red plumes and this lot with blue plumes. I really like the contrast between these squads and my traditional DE sniper Warrior squads. Just purchased the raider for this lot and hope to have that finished soon :D.

Recently decided to add in 6 Mandrakes to my list to see how they go. Only one with grass is complete, just about to highlight and grass the other 3 pictured here.

So far they have been a great addition to my army, I love the fact that they keep the enemy guessing as to where they will "pop" up.

Here is a Dark Eldar Titan using the stats of a Gargantuan Squiggoth.

Fluffy - The Dark Eldar found a corpse of a huge warp creature and gave it to some Haemonculi to "play with". They reanimated it and have this control ship hovering it onto the battle field.

My inspiration was a marionette I have.
