Very impressive on both the conversion and painting fronts. My only, really very tiny, gripe is that the antennae (enhanced senses, we barely knew thee) look rather flat and lacking in definition. It might be the pictures but I'd say they need some mild highlighting on the bulges, as it stands they kind of look unfinished. And because the rest of the work is so excellent, the eye is rather drawn to them.

I love it, especially the huge claws, they give a real impression of digging into the ground to ankor the beast as it fires its huge cannon :D

Thanks, the photo does wash out the yellow a bit but I think I should put on a bit more highlights.

Thanks, that is what I was going for with the claws.

Loving it just like your Venom/Zoan thrope a while back :)

I believe you also had some picture problems with that one that didn't do the colours the full justice right?

Any chance of a picture of the whole yellow and black horde? I love the scheme and imagine its effect only gets better with a huge group of bugs.

My camera seems to washout the yellow a bit or could be my lighting, never really good with the photos.

Don't really have a horde yet, just a couple.  It will be sometime before that will happen.  Right now I'm just painting for fun and doing different stuff.  My next one will be a Necron Catacomb Command Barge, I'm going to try and see if I can make it hover with some magnets.  :-)

AMAZING!  great job.  I agree, though.  I fully yellow and black horde would be amazing!  What colors did you use on the skin?  it looks like sunburst yellow, but it's hard to tell.
But really, great job!

Thank you, the base coat is Sunburst Yellow then I do a heavy wash of Gryphonne Sepia mixed to 50/50 with water.  Then I go over it again with a heavy drybrush of Sunburst Yellow then a light drybrush of light yellow (can't remember the brand) for highlights.
Stunning paint scheme. Based quite nicely as well!
Thank you

Wow. That thing looks brutal! Great colours. The claws are awesome and that yellow and black spotted style I've never seen on a tyranid before, really does look eyecatching!
