Hey guys,

I'm new to the site and to 40k. I'm a junior in Mathematics at Wayland Baptist Univ. in West Texas and really started getting into the franchise this semester. Currently I'm working on building an Eldar amry, creating my own craftworld and all that jazz; plus, I have been getting into the books from the Black Library. I also pre-ordered the Ultramarines movie today! Anyways, I'll see you guys around on the site and hopefully will get to play you someday!

Welcome! Finally, a newbie with good grammar and netequitte!

I'm sure you'll like our forum and find it helpful. May I suggest taking a look at the Eldar Forum? Plenty of good stuff there. I believe there is also a post or an article on designing your own craftworld. This did used to be EldarOnline instead of 40kOnline. So this forum may be the perfect home for you. We reward the people who don't go "lolz, my SMC aboslutely pwnd ur uber dudez!!!!!1!!!!"

Yeah "txt" posts do get annoying. Space Marines are pretty epic, but are too popular and indoctrinated for my tastes so the Eldar work the best. I've also become interested in eventually building a Soul Drinkers army after reading the first three books.

Just joined the forum and thought I should say hello.

Honestly, I've never played a single game of WH40k. I've been playing board games for years and recently decided to try my hand at wargames. I've long admired the miniatures but was always overwhelmed by the idea of painting a large army. After skimming the current catalog of minis, I finally decided to take the plunge.

I'm hoping to learn from everyone here in the forum and hopefully contribute an idea or two myself. I've been building model kits for years - perhaps I can add a bit to discussions about the hobby.

Hi, I'm a pretty big Eldar fan with a decent sized Eldar army as well as the beginnings of Dark Eldar and High Elf forces.

My favourite system is WOTR but very few people at my local store care about anything Lord Of The Rings related.

I like to think I'm a good painter as well. (Sadly my gaming isn't as high quality as my brush skills)

Thanks for the welcome. I got into Warhammmer 40k about 2 years ago after reading the first Space Wolf Omnibus. Due to this Space Marines, and the particularly the Wolves of Fenris have a special place in my heart. Just this past semester at school, got a game of DeathWatch going, got some good interest in that, but sort of fell apart near the end. Now I am looking to get into the miniatures, if not playing tournaments and games, then just for collecting.
