Wraithlord Shoota
« on: January 3, 2007, 02:35:01 AM »
Hi all, just made this guy up, I never did get into the whole shoulder mounted weapons so decided to go for more of a Wguard feel.

A closer look at the gun. Sorry about the focus (best I could get out of my camrera)

Edit; and painted.

It looks very well done. And I like the bit hanging from the front, Eldar are all about the accesories.

it looks really good, i like the way its resting the weapon on its hip. i also really like the idea of having an underslung rocket launcher on a bright lance.

Looks great!  My only suggestion would be to bend the loin cloth back some, as every other cloth piece on it flows back except it.

I love this idea. As a tank hunter configuration it looks great. I might even steal it :)

Feel free to steal away. The stock idea came from GW's site and the under slung EML was the only way to get two weapons without shoulder mounting one of them.

But I'll run with the whole Genius thing  ;D

I was waiting for someone to do this...its excellently done, you should be very proud of your work.

That said, the banner is a bit...much, but if your army is very banner-ish or if it fits the rest of your army, more power to ya.

Get some paint on that beauty and lets see it!

Cheers

Just thought I would show the fineshed model, since people asked  ;D.

I ended up breaking the gun banner off and stepping on it :-[, so hence it's gone.

Hope you enjoy.

O.O... beats my idea of making a mini-revenant for 2x weapon mounting... very well done, very well done indeed.

I might have to steal that concept myself...

That's really nice.  It's clean as can be, which isn't easy with yellow-on-white and black-on-yellow.

Thanks again for the compliments guys. I was happy with the out come myself, the gun came out just as I had envisaged at the begining, witch doesn't always happen with my conversions ;D.

@ Valhalla, well I have always like the clean flowing look of the Eldar figures and always thought to much Blink just spoils the lines.

Great model.  Usually I'm not crazy about super dynamic WLs (still have a thing for the old ones I guess) but this one is a beaut.  Whats the color scheme?  a variant Iyanden?  Its nice but perhaps a bit understated IMO.

well done.

colour scheme is just my own craft world. No real fluff for it at all, always wanted to put something on paper but keep changing my mind. Basic colours are White/Yellow with black for contrast, on the soul premise that I thought it would look good.

Agree about the Dynamics, I don't really get into the whole running Wraithlord at all. As far as I am concerned a wraithlord doesn't need to run, it strides, when it gets there is plenty time enough.

I really need to buy one, just to copy your idea.
Looks excellent, much better than anything i can do.

I agree that it looks a little plain though.  Maybe add a small rune of some sort to a kneepad or something like that.  Can't ruin the lines too much can it?

Well done,
Telemnar
