People dilike americans for a number of reasons

1 Miss information. (many countries including the UK teach things in school about the us that r either false or misleading. THe us does it to.  In history class were taught to see the revolutionary war as americans freeing them sleves from evil tyrants who would massacre our people. I have a friends in britain who tells me they dont even learn about the revolution.

2 Arogance IM an american and proud of it but we are all generally aragont in nature. We often look down on other countries and feel we can do what ever we wont to 2nd and 3rd world nations

3 Our president has the intellegence of a monkey (that might be a little generous)

I don't mind the legitamite grievances.  But 99.9% of what is posted against us is pure crap anyhow and they know it.  Remember, there are a bunch of kids (face it, most of them are immature anyhow) on this board who still haven't even begun to figure out thier own lives and they want to go around slamming foreign governments.

People who are insulting America are just going to see a bunch of Americans airing their grieviences to each other , and aren't going to be able to resist coming to tell you that no , America is an evil bully , and you're arrogant and stupid to think otherwise .

Then , you respond back , rightfully pissed off , but you can't resist telling them that they're wrong , the US is the best and we don't know why we help you anyway , you bunch of ungrateful foreigners .

I don't hate Americans 'for the sake of it'. I hate Ameriacans because they are not content on wellowing in their own Capatalism and Impealism but they must spread it to other countries.

Also, Archon Kojourin sums up why I hate Americans. The how 'We are right, you are wrong, disagee with us and we will invade you' idealoligy.

More over, i don't hate all Americans. I hate the patriotic rather unsavoury chap, what-ho old bean?s who insist on turning into Mel Gibson in 'the patriot' when America is even slighty criticied. I have nothing against being a patriot; but you don't have to ram your views down others throats.

scars, you still suffer from tunnel vision.  I have said that there are things that I don't like about my country and have stated them a couple of times (how many times have I slammed clinton?).  But when it gets to the point that everyone we fight against is some sort of "innocent" it gets out of hand.  The one who makes most of said stupid posts is YOU.  No proof, no nothing other than your bullamphetamine parrot.  Hell, more people disagree with you than they do me and you know it.

Hehehe....I'm sorry, but a President who gets hissy fits (war on terrorism/Iraq) and chokes on pretzels (enough said) deserves to be made fun of. Oft times, the country too. Personally, I think sterotyping due to country is stupid, plain and simple, but it can be funny to step back and look at yourself in comparison to the rest of the world.

In as many times in as many days.  I don't hate you for your views.  I told you before that I don't hate Communism/Russia/whatever is related to it.  My whole complaint with you was when I first posted on this board and said something (not derogatory at all to anyone) about WW2 and you spouted some crap that I should "read a beslubbering history book".  Yes, those were your exact words.  

After that you then said some exaggerated things in other threads.  I'd have left you alone if you didn't spout anything.  I later on forgot about the whole mess and simply debated different views like everyone else on this board.  Then all of a sudden you break out that F-word and use it in every sentence.  Real intelligent.  And yes, I hold your age against you because its natural for teenagers to think that they "know it all" when they don't.  I went through it, people older than me went through it.  You are going through it.  Accept it and then get a clue.

Yes you should read a history book. Who caused the fall of teh Reich? The Red Army! Who liberated Poland, Austria, Romania, Hungary etc from the Nazis? The Red Army! Who captured Berlin? The Red Army! Who rose a Soviet flag over the Reichstag? The Red Army!

I'm not saying that the USA didn't play its part, because it did, but quite rightfully you focused your efforts on beating Japan (they were the ones who pulled you into this god awful sh*tty mess called WWII). The US did little to shatter the Reich. Berlin was the Heart of the Third Reich. Berlin was captured by The Red Army.

Also, I don't claim to 'know it all', since you happen to be 9 years older than me (your 24 last time I heard) and when I know somthing that you don't I must be a 'know it all'. I have toned down my lanuage too; I did use to use f*ck alot, but I don't as much anymore. You do use sh*t alot; how is this different to f*ck? Both are Anglo Saxon. You treat me as if all this is just 'a stage'. i have gone through my whole 'rebellion' stage, you know, liberate your life: smash the state. I am a Communist and thus I come into direct confict with Capatalists and Imperialists. The US happens to be both.

And I'm not arguing with what Americans' government is doing, unless they happen to agree with what they're doing. I think Ilfriin Noore is an American,  and I think I agree with him, as do I agree with Eldanesh (on matters of foreign policy etc) who is also an American, as well as Sandman, who is also an American...

I just disapprove of some things. I apologise for my sometimes "above all flaws" attitude though - just that trying to look at all sides makes you forget where your place is

Scars is right about the red army, nobody made sacrifies like the russian people in the war.

In the same token i dont mean to underplay the American invovment in the great effort the added manfacturing base was more than instrumental.

My beef with the USA is the undeniable "My way or the Highway mentality." If the US cannot get its way it wages war. Sometimes these wars are economical others politcal.

The same mentality is applied to the culture of the US. Magazines, movies, TV, radio, music broadcast the american idium "Lets go shopping" globaly.

A lot of what people say is against our government, not our people, and I think that they should make it very clear by saying, for example, "The American government makes stupid decisions" rather than "The Americans are stupid".

How true is this I cannot say I only know a few Americans personaly, the arguments being made are not agaist a single person but the dominating nature of your government and culture. Its like why people from Wales hate the English.

Bah, the Reds only got to Berlin first because Patton had to wait for Normandy (which, as I recall was a nasty little thing led by Americans to retake the mainland). A good book is called Five Past Midnight by James Thayer. It's about an American commando trying to get to Hitler. I don't suppose you'd like it, scars, but for anyone who's interested I found it good.

I'm pleased to hear my name mentioned! I thought nobody noticed me.   This calls for some outrageous claims!  

Oh, and for the record, the 3rd Reich fell apart more from Hitler's failing war effort than the Red army being there. By the end of the war there were so many people that were secretly against Hitler that quite a few welcomed the Reds. How hard would it be to fight a war if your country is against you, the enemy is against you, and your strategy is falling apart? It happened to Hitler and it happened to America in Vietnam.

Also for the record: Gen. Rommel was absent from the D-day invasion. Perhaps for that reason alone we won that little war. If Rommel had been at Normandy it is likely we would have been repelled and so the Germans could have focused on the Eastern Front, where they would have likely beaten the second rate Red Army back to Stalingrad.

This is relatively minor to the flame war going on buuut; People shouldn't be so hard on Bush. It's not like he's the dictator of this country. He is the embodiment of everything that goes on in Congress. One could even say that he's Washington's scapegoat. The people of America and the world seem to enjoy blaming him when legislators or cabinet members are often the source of policy. Of course, I wouldn't have a southerner as a president if I had a choice (no racism or Civil War anti-South sentiments intended) because so many people make fun of them because of their "rich daddies" and their accents. People tend to view southern presidents as undeserving and dumb. While that might be true, I'd rather have Bush than Gore. He's a real bore. *pause for knee slapping* If I had my way though, I'd have an independent who isn't driven and controlled by corporate America.
