Chaos Space Marines
« on: June 30, 2007, 11:33:32 PM »
Hello everyone,
I just recently started a Chaos Space Marine army, and what a better way to introduce myself here than to show you them? ;)

The heavy bolter isn't painted yet (of course :P) and the arms for it aren't glued on, but other than that they're pretty much done.

Thanks, and happy painting!

they look very nice, I like your color scheme!
However the second picture is pretty unclear and the first is showing the mini's a bit far a away. A sharp close up is something I'd love to see.

I'm sorry about the pictures. My camera really sucks, so I can't get any closer than that without getting really blurry, much worse even than the second photo. I was amazed at my luck with these pictures!

Thanks for the comments.

Great job but I suggest you paint the base white so that it matches the snow base.

Actually your camera seems to have very good quality, its your lighting and backdrop you need to attend to.

Hey, and welcome to 40kO.

Your Chaos Marines are pretty sweet, I love the colour scheme. My only complaint would be that the metals are a little too bright, but it's a matter of taste I guess. I love those snow bases, I've never even dared to make anything similar.

Overall, good work and I look forward to see more of your minis (especially on how the scheme and snow effects translates onto vehicles).

what chapter is that there?  Luna Wolves, Sons of Horus?  Warp Ghosts?  Damned Company of Lord Caustos?  your own?

Looks to me like either Luna Wolves or Warp Ghosts. But I could be wrong.

I like em, get some more practice under your belt and I bet they'll be damn good looking. I am with Purg though. A darker metal might look a bit better. And maybe add some color to the eyes? Scorpion Green might look good.
