Well, as you asked so eloquently...

It is a Tyranid bio-weapon that uses the blast template. If you want to know more read the Codex.  :P

The deathspitter comes on the Tyranid warrior sprue, the arms to the deathspitter are on either side of the ripper model on the sprue.  It looks like a slightly smaller barbed strangler.

Ya it just looks like a mini barbed strangler with less of the barbs on it. not as small as a fleshborer or devourer though.

It uses a smaller blast template, but it has an AP value (forget how much), unlke the Strangler.
