Dwarf Lord
« on: March 1, 2018, 04:28:00 AM »
Hello everyone,

This is a model that I've wanted to paint for years.  For me, it's one of my favourites, and I think that it really captures the spirit of Warhammer fantasy (may it rest in peace).

I decided to add a scenic base because this model is just for display.  It presently guards my desk in work!.

That is just beautiful work Malicant. I love the attention you have shown to the details of this model. The icicles and the gem on the scabbard to name a few in particular.

Is this a GW model? It's face has a striking resemblance to an Ewok.

G'day, Malicant!
Very nice work there, mate. Very neat and a great range of metallics, with just the right touch of frosty colours. Am pretty sure this is the model I bought years ago just for the ax. I bought three of them so some Wolf Guard in my Doggies army could have double edge axes.

Then GW released their own versions a year or two later... Doh! Thanks for sharing, mate. You've done a great model justice... Be well!

Thanks lads.  You give very kind comments, as always.

This is indeed a GW model.  I don't know if it's still available, but I managed to find my one on ebay.  I remember seeing this model in the very first issue of White Dwarf that I bought way back when.  There was an article on the War of the Beard, and this model was one of the dwarf models on display.  Good times :)
