Built an Ocean wargaming table this weekend (Dystopian Wars, etc)
« on: September 30, 2012, 10:27:58 PM »
Hey, so I've been getting more and more into Dystopian Wars of late, and this weekend I built an ocean wargaming table.  I thought I'd post here in case others are working on similar water-effect tables.

I did it as two 2' x 4' sections and finished it this weekend in less than a day.

I used the technique shown by RubbishInRubbishOut on youtube.

All in all, I think it turned out really nicely!  I look forward to the boards being 100% cured so I can move them around, put them side by side, try them out, etc.!

The glaze coat really ended up being a wonderful finishing touch.  The most important part of the project, however, was the second "highlight" of pale blue waves, which just brought the entire project together.
